SUSTAINABILITY

SUSTAIN THE BUSINESS
We maintain our activities through circularity and long product life cycles. We protect our life sources with recyclable materials, local resource use, waste management, and long-lasting products.
EPD Certified Collections:
With our recycled porcelain collections that recover waste in the production cycle, we have proven our commitment to sustainability and our determination to measure and reduce the environmental impact of our production.

What is EPD?
The EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) certificate is issued by The International EPD System. Our collections named "Cras" and "Ground," produced from recycled porcelain waste, were sent to The International EPD System for analysis and were awarded certificates as a result of the reports. You can access the detailed analysis of this certificate, which we earned through highly transparent reporting, by entering our EPD number in the search section of the EPD Library on The International EPD System website. EPD No: 17302
Zero Waste Production Facility with a 99.9% recycling rate.
No waste in our factory!
We use 100% Recyclable packaging materials!
In this way, we prevented 1,829 tons of carbon emissions annually and saved 3,942 trees!

We have an Industrial Wastewater Treatment System.
By treating wastewater from industrial processes, we recovered enough water to fill 18 Olympic-sized pools!
CONTINUITY OF LIFE
In 2024, we saved 4,974 trees and prevented 2,309 tons of carbon emissions.
We define energy efficiency as reducing energy consumption per product unit without compromising production quality or volume. By aligning with global climate action, we implement energy efficiency programs and increase the use of clean and renewable energy sources, thus producing a lower carbon footprint as a company offering low carbon emissions.

Net Zero Warehouse:
Our logistics center, supported by a Solar Energy System, holds the LEED Gold certification.

What is LEED?
LEED is the most widely used green building rating system in the world. It was created to ensure energy, water, and natural resource savings in buildings, reduce waste, and design, build, and operate buildings that support human health.
Our Bilecik Warehouse and Logistics Center, meeting environmental sustainability criteria, has proven its compliance with green building standards by receiving the LEED Gold certificate.
We produce an even lower carbon footprint with "Vitrified" collections produced using single-firing and local resources. Kar Porselen continues to develop similar innovative approaches every day.
